Should I take my son for an MRI? Hurt himself last night in game and played through pain. Today in practice made a bad cut and can put very little weight on knee. Do I rub some dirt in it or take him to see a doctor? I don’t know that I ever had a knee injury so I can’t judge the severity. I’m hoping since he can limp along that it’s not too bad. I never played soccer so what do you guys think if it were your kid?

The frick dude? If you’re kid is in that much pain and can’t walk why the hell aren’t you taking him to the doctor?

You should be asking the doctor a question not us.

I appreciate the help input. I’ve had ankle injuries and usually healed with time is the reason I haven’t taken him. I’ll get him to a doctor.

The history is concerning. Especially if swollen it could be an ACL, meniscus, contusion, etc. Don’t mess around with this.

I took my kid to an Orthopedic, and then to another for a second opinion, when he hurt his shoulder playing football...the first Dr was next day.

He’s never been hurt playing soccer.

Just because your son hurt himself playing soccer doesn't mean the idiots on the soccer board are qualified to help you with this. If your son is hurt, take him to the damn doctor.

Is this high school? If your school has a trainer, take him to the trainer. If not, take him to a doctor
