I'm 100% serious when I say players that do that should never be allowed to play professionally again.

Wow....hopefully there can be some sort of retroactive punishment.

If that were the case, then Chelsea would never have a squad. Just sayin

multi game bans are the only way to stop it, with ascending punishment for further offenses

This sort of thing needs to be checked with in-game video replay. Have a 'booth' or fourth official who watches and relays to on field ref whether or not to card a guy.

I'd even be in favor of a blue card like they do in indoor, where you have to sit for five minutes and your team has to play a man down.

So you're down with LeBron never seeing the court again?

And Chelsea would be missing a shite ton of Drogba goals if this were the case.

I'd be in favor of a committee of a former striker, defender and referee. They review dives and retroactively issue hefty fines and multi-game suspensions. As soon as players start losing a huge chunk of change and are forced to sit for multiple games, these kinds of ridiculous dives will stop.

It won't completely solve diving but it would hopefully help.

It's one thing to dive in the box. I don't like it, but you're not trying to get someone sent off, you are trying to get a goal via a penalty shot. This sort of stuff is infuriating. You are just trying to get a person wrongfully ejected. I'd be so ashamed to be this guy's teammate.

This reminds me of the Joel Campbell dive with Besler. I was glad when Arsenal loaned him out.

Hmm, all I see is a pretty hard elbow to the face.
