But, Vines has had a really nice left foot cross into the box as well as a nicely weighted pass over the top to a streaking forward.
Yep, it's the one thing he is definitely better than Jedi with. Don't know if it's enough to beat out Scally , who is a better on-ball defender, for the backup job and is more versatile, but Vines has taken a huge step forward so far this season.

U17 squad called up for a tournament in Czech Republic and it includes Liverpool striker Keyrol Figueroa, Maynor Figueroa's son. He can represent us, Honduras or England.

DEFENDERS (6): Christian Diaz (LAFC; San Bernardino, Calif.), Adrian Gill (FC Barcelona/ESP; Denver, Colo.), Tyler Hall (Inter Miami CF; Miramar, Fla.), Stuart Hawkins (Seattle Sounders FC; Fox Island, Wash.), Sawyer Jura (Portland Timbers; Bend, Ore.), Oscar Verhoeven (San Jose Earthquakes; Pleasant Hill, Calif.)
MIDFIELDERS (6): Aaron Heard (St. Louis City SC; Fairfax, Va.), Cruz Medina (San Jose Earthquakes; San Francisco, Calif.), Edwyn Mendoza (San Jose Earthquakes; San Jose, Calif.), Paulo Rudisill (LA Galaxy; Irvine, Calif.), Ian Shaul (Portland Timbers; North Saint Paul, Minn.), Pedro Soma (UE Cornella; Coconut Creek, Fla.)

How is Figueroa’s son even eligible for us?
Also it’s weird to see Adrian Gill listed as a defender. I always thought he was an attacking midfielder.

Apparently his mom is a naturalized citizen. He was also in FC Dallas’ academy before joining Liverpool.
He only has Honduran and England citizenship for bow though

How is he able to play with our youth teams then?

Found this on twitter

I do believe this requires him to in some way acquire legal US nationality in the future and I am unclear on how that provision is being fulfilled (if his dad gets citizenship before he’s 18, I believe he automatically gets it but I don’t know when his father got a green card)

If his mom is a naturalized citizen, why is he not already a citizen?

I have no idea. Maybe she didn't become naturalized until after he was born and he doesn't live with her anymore. He did live in America at some point when his dad was in MLS (came over in 2015).
I just know he was born in Honduras, but per transfermarkt, his citizenship is listed as England.
All of it is confusing.

Sadly Marco Reus suffers bad ankle injury, but leads way to Reyna to enter.

Scally with a hockey assist on a Gladbach goal. He races to win a loose ball, tips it past the defender toward the goal line, and hits an accurate cross onto a head in the box. The header is saved, but the rebound is gathered by a teammate who roofs it for the first goal.

Vazquez penning this editorial after being left out can't be a coincidence.

I’m still open to both El Tri and the USMNT, and it would be an honor to represent either country. I’ve got a lot of passion for my Mexican culture, but a lot of the US players are my friends and I feel like I’d be very comfortable there and fit in right away.

I have a feeling there is going to be a mad dash for his services from both teams in the first camp after the World Cup.

I didn't watch BVB this morning. Did Gio get hurt again? Why was he subbed in and then subbed out?

It was tactical, and they are trying to limit his minutes still.
He looked good. Had a hockey assist on the only goal. Took most of the defense out with an excellent cross field ball. He also had another near assist when he flicked a really great ball over the back line to Moukokou. Almost had a goal later on when he drifted to the left side of the box on a fast break, cut it back inside and tried to curl a ball around the keeper. I think it hit the outside of the post. Generally got in good positions, worked hard enough defensively (bot very physical defensively though, more positional and harassing). Also had a header on goal deflected by a defender and had teammates cut off good passes to him in the box twice that prompted the classic Gio shrug and pout.
