I've seen them play a couple of times this year to see their youth and they impressed me. But, mid Championship is more their peak imo.

You are severely overrating the quality of the Championship.

It’s brutal for the toughness but the technical quality leaves a lot to be desired.

There are some shite teams for sure but over 48 matches it is hard to be in that top 6. To be fair though you did say Philly was on the level of an EPL relegation team at least.

Some of y’all have never seen Barnsley play and it shows.

ETA: imagine thinking this is a false statement

That garbage team was a few wins away from being in the premier league and big dick Dike was doing bicycles and 25 yard screamers and shite he didn’t even pull off in MLS.

And Barnsley was in the promotion battle last season with Daryl Dike putting up largely the same numbers (if not slightly better) compared to what he was doing with Orlando City.

People look at the Union, see “MLS” and just automatically assume the worst. It’s a lame trope.

I watched all of Barnsley's games with Dike (thanks IPTEEV) and they played shite route one football. They smashed and grabbed so many matches; lucky as frick and finished in the playoffs. Relegated the next season (although they lost their gaffer and Dike) proved that. League one is their standard.

Which goes to show you that the Championship isn't some fantastic league and they are sending teams to the EPL every year.

So yeah, I stand by saying that the Union are a promotion zone championship squad/relegation zone EPL squad.

That sounds genuinely awful and you have more stamina than I do when it comes to watching terrible soccer.

I turned back to watch Scally during the Norwich half time and missed the Sargent goal in the 50th minute.

Sargent looking dangerous when he gets the opportunity!

Came close to getting a second.

He looks pretty dang solid. I’ll credit it to Rashica not being on the pitch once again

And it’s possible none make the plane to Qatar. The depth of the euro player pool is impressive at the moment (by our own admittedly thin historical standards)

fricking class.

It seems all of our strikers in the pool are beginning to realize what is up for grabs.
