I’m hoping Flores eventually plays for Canada.

And I wonder if Zendejas is still eligible for the USMNT. I honestly haven’t heard a peep from him since he left FC Dallas but it looks like he is doing decent in Mexico. This left a sour taste in my mouth considering he got 37 youth caps for the US.
quote:

On June 23, 2016, Zendejas signed with Liga MX C.D. Guadalajara. In order to meet with the club's tradition of only using Mexican players,[4][5] Zendejas agreed to reject future U.S. national team call-ups and accept Mexico national team call-ups if they ever occur.[6] Zendejas was registered with the first team and was given the number 29 jersey, the same kit he had at Dallas. Zendejas made his Liga MX debut on August 6, in a match against Querétaro.[7]

Ochoa gonna languish with Mexico's C teams while our 3 keeper spots for the world cup is looking wide arse open. I wonder if he has any regrets.

It's why we can't let Gaga go. I understand why Gregg hasn't handed him anything yet beyond some camp call ups, since he's 17, but He is already the best keeper in our pool.

Musah just missed a penalty and it eliminates Valencia in the Copa Del Rey.

Ouch.

Pulisic's dad just posted this on twitter. Appears CP will have a new home soon.

ETA: He deleted it

Mueller to Chicago Fire

After all of 5 months in Scotland, Mueller is on the move back to MLS. Can probably go ahead and scratch him off of the list of potential surprise players on the plane to Qatar.

Apparently Gaga is about to transfer to the Prem.

Also, Cade Cowell and his younger brother are both filing for their Mexican passports to play in Liga MX... not ideal.

Slonina was headed to Chelsea before the sanctions. Wherever he goes will probably loan him back to the fire.

I don’t get the allure of Scottish PL tbh. Very few of our guys actually reach higher than that level after going there.

Hopefully CCV will become the exception to the rule. Rumors are that Fulham and Southampton are very interested.

He is playing at Celtic though not a bottom table team. I think Mueller wanted a chance in Europe and Hibs was his chance to play there. CCV is still my dark horse for breakout player heading to the WC.

Cade Cowell

I didn't even know he was a dual national, apparently he's eligible thru a grandparent. Kid seems American as apple pie in interviews so this is very surprising he's considering jumping.

Greggggg is seemingly starting to lose some recruiting battles lately, could this be a sign that players believe our young core is too good for them to make a WC roster, his roster selections and favorites would keep them out anyway, or some countries (Mexico) have empty cupboards that they think they could plug in and play?

I think it is they see the writing on the wall in most instances. If we start losing out on players like Musah then I will be concerned.

Like two? Ochoa and Araujo? Those are guys who seem like they made the decision for playing time more than for any other reason. Both would be buried on our depth chart assuming people are actually healthy. I would be concerned if we start losing meaningful pieces.

Cade Cowell doesn’t speak any Spanish and has said he just wants to play for whoever wants him more. We capped him as a teenager and he’s consistently involved with our youth national team. I’m not sure what more you can do to convince him you’re interested. Should Gregg be texting him “forget me nots” daily?

Don't forget Gaga is getting courted heavily by Poland too, and they want to call him into the next window. Gregggg definitely needs to close that deal this summer. Gomez is another one we're seemingly losing out on, I don't know how likely we were to land him anyway but we always need LB depth.

Seems like Cowell is saying he prefers playing for the US but for the right price he’d go with Mexico
