it seems that people are satisfied with Greg’s management style

I mean, results matter.

I wanted him fired after we looked like shite against Canada following the loss to Mexico in the Gold Cup.

We were fricking running a 4-4-2 low block for some of those matches.

Since 2020 though, he's shifted things to a 4-3-3 with a high press and so far, it has worked.

Have the majority of the opponents been shite? Yeah. But in the past, we would beat those shite teams 2 or 3-0 and look lackluster doing it. We're beating teams 7-0 with our January camp guys now and playing soccer that looks fun.

Will that change once we play teams with a pulse and in matches that matter? That remains to be seen.

But I'm a hell of a lot more optimistic about the program than I was at the end of 2019, and Gregg has played a part in that.

It's only fair that we give him a chance with all these important matches coming up. If he shits the bed in those, then yeah, I'll go back to calling for a change.

A lot to be honest. We hired Steve Sampson when there were other candidates interested in the job after a good showing at WC ‘94. Then we continuously turn down Copa America invites which could help us grow as a footballing nation. More coaching search nightmare’s into the 2000’s as we seem to be stuck on hiring an American (Klinsmann has lived in the States long enough to be considered one of us ). We need different ideas from abroad as I’ve seen this “American” style fail for too long. Until I see it differently, I will feel this way.

I will say our recruitment has been good lately which is a positive.

Pulling Pulisic off against Canada in the nations league and then substituting Daniel fricking Lovitz at the end of the gold cup final were unacceptable imo. Since then he hasn’t had those same faux pas. I’m looking forward to seeing how we look in competitive matches this summer.

Are you really complaining about shite from 25 years ago?

When was the last time we turned it down? Honestly ignorant here.

Bookmark it bro, I’m man enough to come back and say I was wrong. But, I’m not saying that if we play an inferior opponent.

The amount of rage I had towards Gregg when he pulled Pulisic off in a scoreless game only increased when I saw Pulisic on the brink of tears on the bench.

Yeah, he was playing like shite that match, but so was literally everyone else in a USMNT kit.

I am It’s that deep rooted for me.

Conmebol stopped inviting us years back (not sure what year) after being rejected by us.

Looks like we’ve gone when invited and even hosted just five years ago. Haven’t been invited since. Maybe I’m missing something.

We can't make clubs release their players for it. So the options would be to either send a C team or worse and get obliterated (which CONMEBOL doesn't want), or turn it down.

At this point I would be ok sending our C team and making it a U23 tournament, but with clubs not having to release players that certainly makes it hard, given who would be on that U23 team and what leagues they play in.

I think we sent a fairly inexperienced team in 2007 (11 players had 3 or fewer caps, only 6 had more than 10), we loat all 3 games (-6 GD), and CONMEBOL though it wasn't worth asking us again.

This is what I take issue with, because you can damn sure do two things to help force the issue:

1). Professional Diplomacy

2). Incentivize the release of players somehow.

Klinsmann was the one to force the hand and send a squad. All of those other times were rejected by the Fed.
FIFA considered 2016 to be a one-off and made clubs release their players.

Yeah, he slapped his teammate Araujo on the back of the head and said puto. If it’s ok for the Mexicans to call our keeper that then why should we give a frick

Ridiculous to be under investigation for saying 'puto'. That word has literally meant bitch for eternity. They should tell the offended pussies on social media to eat a dick.

Definitely a nice finish.

#3 striker, #2 DM, #5 CB, etc.
