Aron Johannsson scored in the 4th minute for Hammarby. He was subbed out due to injury in the 21st minute.

He responded to Sciaretta's tweet about the injury:

By my count, 139 US-eligible players born in 2001 or later have appeared in MLS, USL-C, or USL-1 so far during this nascent season, combining for a total of 20,679 minutes.

Sky is reporting that Hertha has taken the lead on signing McKennie.
Well this is a depressing development.

Better there than sitting on the bench at Liverpool.

Yeah, and it's still a fairly young season. Big reason why the occasional MLS game with few to none American players with pro minutes as a teenager doesn't bother me. Because the landscape is changing and it's changing quickly.

He could do a lot worse than Hertha. Solid mid-table club. McKennie still has some room to improve. So go to Hertha, start fkr 2 years, then see if you can fit in at a bigger club.

Sheffield United sounds like a favorite to get Antonee Robinson.

Agreed, but this feels like a lateral move at best, if it happens. Was hoping for a mid table English side where a bit more would’ve been asked of him. But yeah moving to a big club to ride the bench would be worst case scenario.

Antonee Robinson to Sheffield United being reported by Sky Sports. Great move by Antonee that was really helped out by the bad Wigan situation

Yeah that's a great move for him

That’s an awesome move for him. He is basically a wing back and they run with wingbacks.

Pville thanks for keeping this thread up each year. It’s much appreciated.

Thanks to Pville and all the others who post information gleaned from a number of sources. It would be impossible to keep up with the information on all the young players all over the world without this board.

When pville posted about Dantouma Toure I googled “Dantouma Toure ACL tear” and this thread was on the first page

Didn't really know where to put this, so I'm putting it here since it involves inner city Atlanta kids.

Soccer in the Streets, in partnership with MARTA, The City of Atlanta - Department of Planning and the Atlanta United Foundation have broken ground on StationSoccer’s fourth location at Lindbergh MARTA Station. Officially named StationSoccer- Lindbergh, this location is unique to our Soccer in the Streets community as it will be located adjacent to the MARTA headquarters and is the first StationSoccer location on the northern part of the transit network. The plan is to launch the field in fall 2020.

“MARTA is so proud of our partnership with Soccer in the Streets and the steady progress we’re making toward the goal of a 10-station League of Stations,” said MARTA General Manager and CEO Jeffrey Parker. “The world’s first transit-based soccer league, Station Soccer is making a huge impact on the kids and families they coach and it epitomizes MARTA’s commitment to the neighborhoods we serve.”
