Fiore is the host. You can hear cars racing in the background. Fiore goes to “show” zlatan a red card and accidentally pulls out his credit card instead.

This really shows A) that Mike Tirico is absolutely one of the best in the business of broadcasting and a godamn pro. B) How good and polished ESPNs coverage was.

I do kinda dig the random shite in the background and the horn blowing bear was easily the highlight.

Show is a disaster. I miss tirico and bob ley. We trash espn but their World Cup coverage was outstanding. Fox has a long way to go.

Both these things. It’s amateur hour at Fox, as expected. I hope Mexico goes out early for many reasons, but one if those reasons is so that fox takes another hit financially.

ETA: I even kind of miss Michael ballacks smug arse.

Fiore in front of the Kremlin is something out of SNL. I’m actually starting to enjoy this in a shitshow kind of way. I think Alexi is high AF.

Didn't need to read any further to know not to watch. If they want to present the product in a serious, respectable manner, why on Earth would you have a clown hosting.

Ballack during 2012 Euros was awesome. A team could win by 10 goals but ballack would just say, “Eh, I am nawt imprassed.”

I forgot how much of a dick he could be.

This really pisses me off my favorite part of the night was watching the caban recap. It was solid polished analysis with some great banter and then MIB in panic room to tie it all together.

I assume I'm in a very small minority on this based upon his rusty English but I absolutely loved Ballack during 2012 Euro and 2014 World Cup coverage. I still crack up thinking about the time he and Lalas gave Giuseppe Rossi the business in a shamelessly unprofessional, albeit hilarious, exchange about why Rossi chose Italy over us.

The Rossi situation chaps my gears because he could easily have been a star in the US rather than a talented, but oft-injured Italian among many. His agent came out years later and said that maybe choosing Italy was a mistake. He probably should have made the 2010 squad ahead of Iaquinta, who was brought as a plan B. He would have been the centerpiece to the US in those days.

You can see it in his face that he wishes ESPN would've kept the World Cup rights so he would've never had to leave.

Over who?

Was one of our players on 2010 nicknamed after a hotel chain?

An Italian player. Five forwards went that year for Italy. Iaquinta scored something like 7 goals all season, in 18 games. Rossi had 17 in 46 playing in a withdrawn role.
