Wouldn't want to play Sweden in the knockout stages

Sweden looks dangerous
Not really.
Tunisia collapsed and the goalkeeper has lost all confidence in himself.
You could score a penalty kick on him right now if you put it on target.

I could see this being the surprise group where they draw next 2 games and win group with 3 teams going through and Tunisia finish with 0 points
Thats a stacked group

Germany in control of Group E thanks to a +6 goal differential... even though their 3 points are matched by the Ivory Coast which also has 3 points but just a +1 GD
Ecuador & Curacao both on 0 points but Ecuador with a -1 GD while Curacao has a -6 GD
Sweden could not have asked for a better start in Group F... a 4-goal win while the Netherlands & Japan draw
Sweden on 3 points to lead Group F while Netherlands & Japan both have 1 point. Tunisia with 0 points and now have to make up a -4 GD as well

Sweden will have to defeat Japan. They can't rely on getting draws against both Japan and Netherlands. And a draw against Japan would be lethal to advancing if they lose to the Netherlands.
Japan draw and win vs Tunisia puts them at 5 points, Netherlands at 7 pts, and Sweden at 4 pts.
they are going to have to play the game of their lives to get any points against the Netherlands, who will be on a mission after today.
Sweden has to take the mentality of doing enough to move on with GD, because they are the 3rd best team in the group, despite what they did tonight.
Or pray that the Netherlands has a very English style collapse following a disappointing outcome.

You should run to the nearest sportsbook with your certainty… Their odds of being knocked out in group stage is now +1600 or 16:1 and +195 to win group.
They’re literally 8x more likely to win group than to get bounced. They are in a great position and couldn’t have gotten better results from the first group matches.

realizing you didn’t know 3rd place teams can qualify for next round. Carry on

Damn shame japan was set up to play arteta terrorist ball in the first half. Had they played the Dutch bois straight up to start I think they win it. They can ball.

If they tie Japan and lose to Netherlands, then they will only have 4 points. Having 4 points may not guarantee them to be in the top 8 third place teams, which would then lead them to GD to earn a spot in the top 8.
And that's assuming that they don't lose to Japan and Netherlands, resulting in only 3 points, which would really require the GD to advance.
They are not assured of anything, because they still have to play the two best teams in the group. lose to both and 3 points may not be enough to advance.
ETA: Basically: they have to draw Japan to feel like they have an opportunity to advance on GD. Japan isn't Tunisia. Japan will be a tough draw.
