I get that it's now tradition to play the Messicans at Crew Stadium, but when/why did it become tradition? And why not play in a venue that seats more than 25k? Is there fear they would outnumber us if this game were to be played at, say, the horseshoe?

The short version is it was one of the first soccer-only stadiums and no Mexicans live there. We always win, so we always go back.

I should clarify. There will be plenty of Mexicans there. Just significantly less than the vast majority of other venues we would play at.
