The Mexico roster?

For me, It's FC Dallas CB George John. His team is winning, His team isn't letting in goals, and he has the physical abilities, but has yet to be given a shot.

He's also been in a Greek training camp, so there's a chance we could lose out on him if he exploded into a great player all of a sudden.

A lot would say Mix, but he's already played. For that reason your answer is a pretty good one. I think everything will be very different when we play Belgium in Belgium and can get the European guys and banged up guys back in the mix

No one should be disappointed. I think a lot of people will get shots. Friendlies ,right now, don't mean shite and time for some experimenting.

Anytime you play Mexico it means something.

If it didn't, Mexico wouldn't be bringing the A team.

I'm going to say that the Soccer Board's number one answer would be Bornstein.

If the U.S. manage to lose to Mexico, can't blame it on him.

You are right that the Mexico game always means something, but I fail to see the CB that you are speaking of making any impact that would change the outcome in a positive fashion.

Teal Bunburry, he's scoring goals so might as well just give him a look if it's just a freindly

Wasn't last night his first start in two months?

Boon Boo Ree needs some more time.

In order of my disappointment:
1. Mix
2. Convey
3. John
4. Gatt
5. Parkhurst (starting consistently at CB in Denmark)
6. Gyau

Every opportunity that Parkhurst has had, he's shown that he's underwhelming (at best.)

Bobby Convey's time is past,
I hate to say. I was a huge fan of his, back in the early days with the MNT & DC United. Then he went to Reading and did a nice job when he wasn't injured he missed most of '06-'07 Nothing spectacular, mind, just solid, quality play when he was healthy.

But he's had injury problems for years which have limited his appearances for club.

His high was in 2006 where he appeared 46 times.
In 2009 he appeared in only 26 matches, and 2010 only 19.

I don't know that now is the time to call up Burnbury, but he's scored in 2-3 games in a row. Convey's time is past, but they have several other guys on the roster that are also past their prime. I'm not saying we should have brought him along, but that reason doesn't hold up since you can say it for like 5 other guys

Convey's absence is due, in my estimation, to a injury-filled career. He is only 28, but I'd say he's an old 28.

I think Klinsi is giving these guys their last chances, and what better way to do it than against Mexico to see if they can use that to dig deep and prove something to him.

That's just the way I read it.

Yep, he wants to evaluate the nucleus of the team, and see which ones are keepers before tinkering at the margins. This is the opportunity for veterans to play themselves out of plans for the near future.

If this is really his "eliminator" match I bet he thought for a split second, "I'll give Bornstein a call" and then was quickly like, "Nah, f that noise."

If Bornstein hasn't eliminated himself already, then we really are fricking terrible at LB
