So I'm watching this game for the first time ever, and this is what I've noticed:
The US had great one touch passing.
The backs defended extremely well. Sanneh was fantastic and Hejduk was solid (and had less of the creepy surfer look).
Donovan and Beasley were f'n impressive. If I was a true fan of the team in 2002 I would have been jizzing my pants over these two.
McBride showed why he was loved by so many US fans.
Pope was solid in back. Mastroeni did well, too.
Eddie Stewart. Holy crap that guy was a baller until he went out injured.
Donovan and Beasley are both really f'n fast.
Beasley was only 126 pounds and the lightest player in the tournament. WTF.
6 of the starters were MLS players and 3 others were former MLS players.
I'm glad I just dedicated 2 hours of my life to this.

I was 14. I remember my dad waking me up extremely early and we watched just about every WC game that year. Wow, that brought back some memories.
