No, I just wanted wynalda.

What's that got to do with qualifying for 2022 or making no changes?

This is an old guy that has only been involved with soccer for 10 years?

Per Stu Holden, athletes council decided that there was a candidate they could unify behind. Carlos Cordeiro was the best candidate who could step in at day one and get things going. Wants to lead with governance and involve the athletes. Fix the broken relationships between youth, adult, and national organizations. They felt that he could be the most unifying candidate.

My hope is that CC recognizes his limitations beyond the business side and finds a really good technical director.

Because obviously our system is broken and it's obvious we can't win with just talent alone.

That and they need to adjust the MLS and other leagues to cooperate and work with each other.

Dunno. Just looking for the best analogy.

It's not broken. It can do better, but it's not broken.

They do work together. NASL seems the be the lone holdout and they are losing teams every day.

Agree to disagree. It could do considerably better, and needs to be fixed with quickness.

We're producing more talent today than we probably ever have. It's clearly not broken.

Pay to play is still in effect

So it’s broken

Great response

But pay to play is a huge part of the problem

That’s always been a broken part of the system

Pay for play isn't going away. I think you'll see prices decrease and more "scholarships" for families that can't afford it, but it's not going away anytime soon. You're taking the ideal utopia and saying anything less = broken. It's just not realistic.

If Cordeiro can put the right people in the right places, then it sounds like he'll be much better than Sunil. Sunil had to have his fingerprint on every action and decision. He always felt like he was the smartest person in the room. Just make the right hires and we'll already be better off.

I guess getting an American to be the USSF Pres was too much to ask.
