But Adams did say what happened in Qatar stayed in Qatar. At least until Gregg opened his mouth.

I'm not absolving Gregg. For the 278th time, frick Gregg.

But Gio made an arse of himself.

Sure, but usually there are factions of players vs players.

This is looking more and more like it was the whole team vs one guy. And while they likely settled it then, you can't tell me those dudes are all buddy-buddy with Gio right now.

Go look at pretty much every other USMNT player instagram post and you'll see other guys comment on it. Gio's last instagram post, the only USMNT-related player that commented was Matt Miazga.

Gio's going to be back with the team. He's too talented not to, but it's going to be a delicate situation until we get a "dudes being dudes" moment and they put it all behind them.

That's a good point. I don't watch network news, but is it 10pm these days?

How? Does anyone know what he did, specifically?

Pouted and was loafing around at practice because he wasn't starting.

He didn't train with proper intensity after being told he wasn't going to used much in the World Cup.

You're leaving out a lot from the reports. Again, the words "pouting" and "petulant" were used. Dude came in not at 100% (not his fault) and, because of that, was told he'd be coming off the bench in the world cup. And instead of working towards a common goal with the rest of the players in the program's first world cup in 8 years, he acted like a bitch. Grow the frick up.

For the 279th time, frick Gregg, he handled all of this poorly, but it started because Gio handled a situation poorly.

In other words he responded like a bitch

All the great redemption stories you hear about players reclaiming their spots usually involve the player being like “bet” and training harder than ever

He’s too good to keep out of the team so hopefully it’s water under the bridge before too long and Mrs. Rabiot-Reyna stays in her lane

Agreed, he will and should get another chance. I don't give a shite about fair. For example, Paul Arriola has done nothing but basically give his life for the crest, but if it came down to those two for any USMNT camp, I'm taking Gio over him every single time. Simply because he's better. Meritocracy.

I just think it's funny that a lot of people on here are acting like what Gio did was no big deal simply because this whole ordeal is a Gregg vs Gio thing so they feel like they have to side against Gregg no matter what, when it's very easy to say both acted like idiots.

I have no problem if all he told him was that he wasn't going to start, because it's clear, even now in January, that he still can't go 90 minutes.

If he told him he wouldn't be heavily involved, that's dumb.

There's a difference in those two thought processes and we've seen conflicting reports on what was conveyed.

He’s not starting for BvB. Does that mean he can’t go 90 minutes?

Either way, it doesn’t make sense to me that he would go nuclear over just being told he would be used like he is used at BvB.

You know what Gio said he told him, and that is what fits with the rest of the story.
