Zusi is a nice stop gap, but he has no business being a first choice starter.
Nothing against SKC, I think Besler is the best defender we have right now. Just don't think Zusi is good enough.
I'd put Bedoya, Corona, and Donovan all ahead of him.

I think Zusi has been very good for the US lately and I am happy to have him on the roster.

Zusi is slightly above average at everything, but not really great at anything, except maybe free kicks.

He has made 3 good crosses and one good tackle, though, so lets sit Landon.

I think Zusi is probably tops in our player pool for providing service into the box from the right side.
I think he has a high defensive work rate for an attacking guy.
I don't think he's our number 1 option, but I do think he's probably our second best option. Corona or Bedoya may overtake him eventually though, as they have higher upsides.

If Zusi were to start, it have to be on the right and move Donovan to either ST, CAM, or LW/LM. Zusi just doesn't play well on the left.

I wouldn't have a problem with Howard or Guzan starting. Guzan is probably in better form for club at the moment but benching Howard might cause some ripples you don't want considering the run the national team is on. Not to mention guzan hasn't had a clean sheet in over a year

JK has said time and time again that the starting GK is Timmy's and its by a wide margin.

i like this lineup because it allows Zusi to send crosses in the box, Landy can hang around in the middle and make some runs, putting Dempsey on the left allows Johnson to push up since dempsey likes to push in. Besler has the speed to cover for johnson occassionly and Brooks is one of our most talented players
