4.). Question: wasn’t Roberto Martinez available when JK was fired?

Lets let him actually get first team minutes before we start capping him.

This is part of the problem, fans just want the new young guy to feature right away. They have to earn their caps.

Gregg has featured Will Trapp on multiple occasions. Has he “earned his caps?”

It would be redundant for me to answer the questions, since it would be the same reply as pretty much everyone else.

The only thing I would add would be to bring in Jermaine Jones in some sort of coaching role. You can't necessary teach passion, but I know the boys would work harder if they had someone like him pushing them and setting the pace.

When did I ever say Will Trapp deserved caps?

My point is they clearly don’t have to earn their caps if Trapp is playing all the time. I stated in my post that I was protecting to 2022; but I still believe as I type this that Gio Reyna is substantially better at soccer than Trapp

What he did for Dortmund is more impressive than playing on a bad Columbus team all season.

But they should and that's what the approach should be. It's the approach for every good NT ever.

Jurgen was handing out caps to every young guy with a pulse in 2014 and the fed made Sarachen do it last year. That route is clearly not working.

What sense does it make to not play Michael Bradley until Adams is healthy, when the alternative is Will Trapp? Give me Bradley.

I have a two-fold problem with this. For one, Bradley can't play that lone 6 role and has shown time and time again in the last few years that he can't. Continuing to put him out there in that role is just setting himself and the team up for failure.

So with that said GGG needs to either 1) adjust his tactics to not leave Bradley/Trapp on an island or 2) just try someone different when clearly those 2 aren't getting it done. I know the role is suited for Adams but he hasn't been available. Morales got 1 run out against Mexico in which the setup for that game was a total abortion so how do you even assess that performance. Yuell had gotten looks and looked pretty good against Uruguay and some other weaker opponents. And that's it. It's been 10 months and that is what we have learned at that position.

And my same point goes for Roldan who clearly to anyone with one working eye can see is not good enough plain and simple. Yet we keep throwing him out there and wasting opportunities to give looks to other guys. And hey they might fail as well but at least we gave it a shot. It's not like running Roldan out there repeatedly is going to all of the sudden turn him into Xavi. He sucks. So give those minutes to Holmes or Paxton or even Ledezma to see what they can offer at this point and going forward.

1). Do you want GB fired right now?
Yes
2). How much more time do you give him?
See above
3). In your eyes, is the problem more about player pool, the coach, or the USSF?
The problem is a federation with who knows what goals, a tactically inflexible coach whose framework doesn’t work with our players, and a shitty pool. So all of the above.
4). Honest opinion on who you’d replace GB with should he be fired?
Marsh
5). What is your best eleven and next six from our current player pool?

I would try this but possibly switch Lletget and Pomykal, plus Boyd over Weah (for now) and Morris over Soto. I think Holmes deserves a spot somewhere, probably.
6). Should we abandon veteran players at this point and simply build for our future?
No. A lack of veteran leadership is part of the problem. Drop the dead weight but let’s be honest Bradley is part of this team until someone proves they are better.

None of these players have that grit and determination. They need someone on the pitch who has that nasty edge like Clint Dempsey had. And if not nastiness, a doggedness like the previous generations, 1994-2006, had. Brian MacBride, Earnie the player, not the executive, Cobi and Frankie for never stopping, always running. In later years 'Dolo.

Who in this group since 2017, has this? Klinsy had one thing right, we need to play nasty, but he did not realize how CONCACAF officiating treats the U.S. and the mindset that we want to be the good guys.

None of this absolves Jurgen... the tide turned with him as manager.

How, in any way, does this have anything to do with Jurgen? He sucked. Berhalter also seems to suck. One does not determine the other.
