what a let down after the last camp. I understand all the reasons why pville so keep your snarks to yourself, it was just awesome having the whole fan base be unanimously excited again, to this

I’m excited for this camp because we get to see some other striker options that could legit start for us soon (or immediately if Sargent goes down with an injury), plus a lot of new, young faces.

Pville comment made me laugh tho

So potential starting 11:

Hamid
Duncan-Long-Zimmerman-Vines
Aaronson-Amaya
Arriola-Mihailovic-Lletget
Dike

Total guess. For example Acosta could very well start, but he's kind of fallen out of favor it seems like.

Hamid
Araujo - Zimmerman - McKenzie - Vines
Acosta (only real DM on the roster)
Aaronson - Lletget
Mueller - Dike - Mihailovic

Just assuming no other players are added.

I could also see Lletget playing LW and Bassett playing alongside Aaronson.

Arriola is just coming back from a torn ACL. I expect him to be the guy to set the pace in training, but I don't think he'll start.

Good point. Looking at those defenders, no idea of anyone outside of Zimmerman, Long, and McKenzie.

I'm starting Alvarez along with Araujo if Im Gregggg. With only one game, I'd show both we mean business by letting them get out there and prove it.

I really don't care about Alvarez. The others have more than proved they deserve the playing time more than Alvarez.

He only played 700 minutes and started 6 games this season.

I think Araujo played his position more than Efrain did.

I don’t think we see Alvarez play. He would have to file a one time switch since he’s already played in official competitions for Mexican youth teams.

We've replaced Amaya with Andres Perea.

He's honestly not really going to ever factor into the USMNT based off of what I've seen, but happy for him. He is arguably 4th on the depth chart at OCSC in the CM/CDM position (granted Urso, Uri, and Mendez are all really solid vets).

This makes some sense, not filing a switch yet. Has played with Colombia's youth teams.

Jeff Carlisle @JeffreyCarlisle
now
Gregg Berhalter says that Jackson Yueill is going through a COVID-19 protocol and should join the #usmnt in the next day or two. There will also be a January camp with a game at the end of that month.

And that one time switch is permanent, correct? The USMNT would own him after that, right?

Dike is a fricking monster. I’m pumped about this guy’s potential.

With FC Dallas out of the playoffs now, could possibly see Bryan Reynolds and Jesus Ferreira come into camp.

Correct. Gregg has mentioned there is a possibility that Alvarez could play in the game, which tells me he may be closer to switching than people think.

Even if he never makes an impact for us, that would still be a huge FU to Mexico and show that the younger Mexi-Americans may start to view us in a better light.

When did they not? Pretty sure we've been winning the dual-national fight with Mexico for quite a while.
