Zimmerman is a surprising start given he is only there cause brooks got injured. But I like the pick.

I think that just goes to show you how close the LCB depth chart is behind Brooks. It also probably helps that Zimmerman and Robinson started next to each other in the Gold Cup until Zimmerman got hurt.

Is there a pregame on somewhere?
Posted on 10/7/21 at 6:10 pm to LSU2346
Coverage starts at 6:30, kick off is at 6:45

I’m thinking Arriola is out there primarily to bring leadership and maturity in the absence of Pulisic etc. He seems to be one of the vocal leaders and has a high work as well

He's there for verticality.
Berhalter has been talking about needing that all week.

Paul Arriola and Verticality makes me chuckle.
I like the lineup. I don’t love arriola but expected him to get at least one start this round. Excited to see if Adams mckennie and musah can control the midfield and what Aaronson and Pepi can do up top.

Jermaine Jones on the pregame lol, love it

Weah gives you at least as much verticality and a ton more skill so I don’t think it’s that

ESPN saw what Clint Dempsey did on CBS, so they're like, "Who can we find that is crazier than Clint?"

I'm ready to see line-breaking passes to musah and McKennie from Zimmerman. Also direct balls from Zimmerman up top to Aaronsen and Pepi

I love this midfield. I think we could dominate

Wow knew we were young but this is the youngest squad in usmnt WCQ history

Why is this game on ESPN instead of FS1?
I thought home games were FS1 and away was CBS Sports?

I don’t think anyone is over 24 besides Zimmerman and Arriola. And Turner

Nope, ESPN and Fox split the rights to home WCQ matches, CBS has the rights to all other CONCACAF matches, USMNT or otherwise.
It was like that for the 2018 cycle too except beIN had the rights that CBS has now.
