I'd like to take this opportunity to the random dudes at The Place To Watch The Game That Shall Not Be Mentioned that I hugged after the goal.

There were three or four of you.

If I grabbed your arse, as well, please forgive me.

This literally is probably the biggest day in the history of US soccer. Winning the group for the first time since '30. And doing it over England. I'm in bliss.

That was freakin' great! Watched it at a bar that was about 2/3 watching the England game with the rest watching USA. It was a pretty festive scene with both teams winning and the USA doing so in dramatic fashion.

I am not generally a soccer guy but I really started to enjoy the World Cup about 2 Cups ago (in Korea?). Great stuff! And oh yeah,

Oh man, that was great. My voice changed more than Jerry Buss's after the Lakers won the championship

Great win, let's hopefully not play Germany.

Feilhaber killed it in the second half, and I am so glad Donovan scored the winner. Deuce had 3 near goals (one of which obviously should have counted) and Jozy did really well.

I wonder if we will start Feilhaber and Edu in the next game or if that is just going to continue as our second half adjustment to let Landon and Deuce play more up top.

I'm not questioning Bob's tactics right now. He hasn't put a foot wrong IMHO. I will admit that when I saw "The Bornstein" in the starting 11 that I was immediately pooing myself. To be fair, he played pretty well, except for the unnecessary forays into the attacking 3rd.

I hope Gooch gets well soon.

I know it stands to reason to be careful what you wish but...

Serbia than Uruguay/Korea

For England...

Germany than Argentina

Good luck with all THAT.

CONGRATS USA SOCCER!!!! We played a hell of a game. So many opportunities to win this game early. We deserve it!

Landon is the man!!

I was driving when the starting XI were announced and almost wrecked my truck when they said Bornstein. Otherwise, I have to admit, Bob's moves were solid. I don't think you start Feilhaber. He brings so much more at the start of the second half.
Gomez had his chances, Buddle, as well, although he moved outside a bit much for my liking.
