Outside of a country like Argentina (and host Brazil of course), we should be right up there.
The tourney is in the Western Hemisphere, we have a fricking gigantic population, OECD nation with money to spend on leisure, and we already punched our ticket. I would be surprised if we were behind any European nation to be honest.

I've never bought tickets for a WC before so excuse my ignorance, but I'm assuming you buy tickets for specific matches only involving the US? Surely that number isn't inflated by the number of Mexican-Americans, Italian-Americans, German-Americans, etc. buying tickets from inside the US for their respective countries?

I doubt there are that many expats from those countries here requesting tickets. And if you're talking about third and fourth generations like myself requesting tickets to root for other countries and not the USA then they can DIAF

Forgive me and indulge an old man....back in 1994 when it was here, I bought the package for the Dallas venue which included four first round matches and one second.
Then had to apply, ahead of time, for the quarter-final match in Dallas.
I'm sure it's different now, especially if you want a package to follow your side.

I actually am not sure the process, I've never had the financial resources or free time to pull off attending a WC (I was too young for 94), so never seriously looked into it. It's on my bucket list though
