quote:be that as it may. he can play left and can cross and get upfield much better than deuce. he can cut in to facilitate also. deuce in the hole also means he's getting lots of touches(he needs that to operate) and he is always relatively in shooting range . Deuce on the left could cut in like normal but I'm afraid he wont be pacey enough or put in enough defensive work getting back. Since he's been captain I think he's done well running the show in the attacking 3rd, his ball distribution and vision is underrated imo.
I'm starting to believe that Donovan is more dangerous than Dempsey in the middle. He's a much better facilitator, too.

He gets tunnel vision a lot and is susceptible to fire off a speculative shot a lot. Donovan is much more savvy on the ball than Deuce.

quote:Deuce can get tunnel vision but he hasn't shown it of late on the national team. Donovan is definitely very savvy on the ball, but his pace is needed on the edge imo. if we play deuce on the left, he'll cut in all game long with Fabian overlapping.. could make for a stretched left side.

how would you have them play if you had Deuce on the left and Landyshades in the hole?

Deuce cutting in, Landy cutting out.

the reality is it doesn't really matter where our 3 advanced midfielders start out in the line up. we've been excellent at interchanging positions in game under Jurgen.

Because he is.

Dempsey scores way more on the LW. I saw a thing checking his stats at Fulham comparing when he played LW, RW, CAM, and ST, and by far he was wayyyyy more effective at LW.
JLock, PLEASE for the love of god, post this to r/soccer.
