I'm a big FA Cup fan but honestly barely even excited about the final. This club is in such a bad place this would hardly even qualify as lipstick on a pig. The American owner experience is even worse than I ever imagined (and I imagined it would suck)

Man City will be a challenge.
Still, it’s a one off, so I will be watching.

Having two camps of owners has been a MAJOR problem.

As we talk finances and the money we need to buyout Rosenior, it’s worth reiterating that hiring him in the first place cost us Champions League money for next year.
Theoretically they could still back in (Villa winning Europa and being Top 5?).
That would mean 6th place gets Champions League iirc.

So a quick question.
As unlikely as it is, if Chelsea were to win the FA Cup, and somehow sneak into the Champions League, is it a successful season?
I get that the turmoil is a major shite sandwich, but I’m asking about just going by results.
Thoughts?

Maybe try and fricking play defense instead of holding onto people’s shirts.
In that same breath, maybe start calling stuff on corners too if that’s a penalty and a card

Marco Silva is probably excited to coach this team for 3 months then get a huge buyout.

I don’t get how these are our best players lol

Thought about watching. Checked the score. Glad I didn't waste my time. What a disaster.

I see even Tuchel is at The Bridge today to witness this absolute crap show.

Is delap a legitimate professional athlete? He seems like he would struggle in the MLS

It’s looking like it’s very much going to burn down. But not “burn it down and rebuild.” Its just going to be ashes.

Bout to see a nice 5-0 loss here

Didn’t lose and scored a goal. That qualifies as a good result these days.

So the reports saying Xabi Alonso. How do we frick this up?
Posted on 5/11/26 at 11:15 pm to spehog
We do not have the players to run his system
Caicado is not a very good distributor of the ball.
Pedro neto may be OK Fernandez will make be okay
Estavo may go next level
Reece James, Cole palmer, will not fit
Something has to change

Despite the reports, I think it’s fairly unlikely. I still think he has his eyes on Liverpool and is maybe hoping they’ll give up on Slot (and it very much seems like the fans already have).
Plus, I just don’t think he would be interested in working for BlueCo.

How would we feel about Iraola?
Posted on 5/12/26 at 6:21 pm to ohiovol
I’ll be happy with anyone with the clout to run a system and keep BlueCo from micromanaging.
