feels like CFC is beginning to enter their next phase of the club development - the taking care of business stage

where the club comfortably wins the matches they are supposed to win like today

Well it was 0-0 at break so they had to get their heads right in the second half.
They were a different team after the break. Estavoa is such a weapon. Nacho looks really good. Good result.

Just wait until we sign an actual world class striker. We are right on the cusp of being truly elite.

Rather have a world class CB. We’re 2nd in the PL in scoring right now behind only City.

Don't expect that to be sustained through the entire year without an elite striker.

Fofana being healthy is a bright spot / potential at CB that's been on the bench seemingly the entire time since we signed him.

I don't think striker is the problem/solution for this team's inconsistency. CFC has the second most goals in the league with teams regularly setting up the 5 man lower block. My hope for additional/improved offense is Cole coming back and facilitating the other attackers.

Center back is the obvious weak spot on this team.

Correct. We have scorers. Not a Haaland type of guy but several who can fill it up. Wait until Estaveo begins to enter the starting 11 and Cole comes back- we will be tough to defend.

Chelsea close to naming Oracle as front of shirt sponsor. Supposed to be a 60MM deal. Good news I hate the plain front shirt.

I disagree.

Weirdly, Jackson would be the tits right now for us.

Oh well, onto plan z.

CB and keeper are also issues.

I prefer it plain.

That being said, the money helps.

I was in favor of keeping Jackson on the squad. He needed a timeout for his two bad red cards. I hope the relationship isn't so soured that he can't return.

Cole broke his toe in an accident at his home. Out for the next three matches minimum. He was going to be available for Barca but not now. Bloody fricking hell.

Up north, cold and damp, early morning, after a break…sucks.

A win on the road given those circumstances is a nice win.

2nd place at this point is quite handy.

As for the squad…

We need a keeper in the worst way.

We need our two top CB’s (Colwill and Fofana) to both be healthy at the same time. We also need red their primary subs (Badiashile and Chalobah) to stay healthy as well. Not having a left-footed CB was a challenge.

We need another forward.

MG looked good, but he needs to earn more time.

We are so close.

Like I said, 2nd place is great given the injuries.

And without Ciacedo…. Very important win.

Neto was outstanding.

Andrea Santoshad his best game in Blue.

I waiting to judge Delap until he can get some time with Cole serving him alley oops.
