I think Chelsea is Arsenal’s greatest threat to to the title this season. Pool and City are there of course. Can’t fricking wait to see it play out. Cheers bros.

On paper it is Liverpool and Arsenal, then City and Chelsea.

5th-10th is a crap shoot.

Newcastle has issues right now (although signing Jackson would be HUGE for them).

Ditto Villa.

Forrest will still be pretty good.

Spurs and ManU will rebound.

Brighton, and Fulham will be solid.

Bournemouth, Brentford, and Palace will be scrappy.

West Ham, Wolves, and Everton, and will all pick up points at home.

Of the promoted squads, I see Sunderland making the most noise…and staying up.

Didn’t see the match against AC Milan today but looking at the stats, Chelsea dominated especially since a Milan player was sent off early. But I like what I’m seeing from Joao Pedro and Delap. Doesn’t bode well for Jackson and if we sell him, we should get a good number. Chalobah went off with a knock and that’s not great for back line depth. We have a lot of “dudes” - the talent upgrade this cycle has been massive.

Sell Jackson and get the best CB possible.

Not really.

They were dangerous against our back line. Randy is right, we need a CB (Guehi?) and may have to overpay for him.

The good news is that Newcastle may be desperate for a forward soon, and Jackson should fetch a hefty price.

The irony is that Liverpool, who also wants Guehi, may be giving us the cash needed to buy him by taking Isak from Newcastle (who will then need a forward).

Shots were 19-11 Blues. Shots on target were 8-5 Blues including one off the woodwork. 55% possession plus drew a red card in the 18th minute due to heavy pressure. Seems pretty dominant to me but cool.

Needless to say, Enzo looks to have a good grip on the style of play he wants and now has his players in place. This season should be fun. And please keep Veiga.

This is a pretty incredible gesture from the Blues. Gained many points in my book

Kind gesture but seems kind of silly to give that much money to people who are already exceedingly wealthy. Start a charity or something in his name and give it to people who need it

Forget that Djorgie post.

Tosin to miss Palace match tomorrow. Blues better get busy finding a CB before it’s too late.

Gotta hand it to Palace. Made it really tough today to get shots. Our last 10 mins were our best offensively and we had chances. Obviously Estavo needs more minutes the kid is electric. Quiet day for Enzo, Joao Pedro, even Cole. Back line with Acheampong did quite well. Sanchez never really challenged. On to the next one.

I thought Ciacedo had a poor match, relatively speaking. He looked tired and got pushed around a lot.

The productivity in the last 10 was created by Delap’s presence in and around the box. I didn’t see anything distinguishing from Joao Pedro.

There is a reason the they beat City and Liverpool in their last two matches.

Low block + solid midfield + dangerous attackers = issues.

shite refereeing didn’t help (although he was equally bad).
Could have been reds each way.

It was always going to be a tough out (especially for the opener).

They played poorly.

Ironically, Delap looked better against the low block than Pedro.
It is usually the other way around.

They are very direct. While dangerous, it is easier to defend against. Congrats to Palace.

I thought that he was our best player (by far). It’s a pretty solid midfield that he was up against.
Enzo and Palmer having off days didn’t help.

He dominated ground duals 7/9.

Dude is LEGIT in my opinion.

Of course he is world class. I just think he didn’t look his best. It is still better than almost anyone else.

Caicedo got no help from Enzo today. Or Cole. Delap showed some fight in the final 20 minutes I’m not concerned about him. Just love what Estavo brings although he looks really thin- this league may chew him up early. But he’s dangerous as hell and will open things up.

CP on opening day is tough because they are the team that is perfectly happy playing for one point with a low block and heading to the house

they dont really test you but they also dont let you really get close enough too often to test them either

so you get a flat match like we saw today

Andrey Santos had the match in his hands but he blew it

Did not hear anyone on CFC making excuses about anything today

This was one that the blues should have had and Andrey Santos had it right in front of him
