That's pretty much our whole team, that's the problem with this approach

Is this good? I don’t think so. Enzo is a good manager. His sub patterns could be head scratchers but he got this young team to the top 4 last season and won the club World Cup making PSG look like a League 1 side. We had a poor December but are still in the hunt for the top 5. I’m reading this is more a conflict between manager and ownership and not necessarily because of production.

In the short term…yes.

This squad is a year away. I noted that BEFORE this season.

He is good, but like the squad…he is inexperienced too.

I said that he was the tinkerman part 2.

His lineup against Bournemouth made no sense.

Acheampong playing out wide was DUMB. He is a right sided CB. Chalobah…who he put at left CB, was equally dumb, as he too is a right sided CB. Meanwhile, Badiashile, a left sided CB, sat the bench. Gusto, a right back, went out left, and Hato (brought in specifically to spell Couch) sat the bench. It was mind-numbingly bad.

He devices excellent match plans, yet at times doesn’t put the personnel on the pitch to implement it.

Also of note (as Randy has correctly noted), the sporting directors have left the squad with two holes: a high level Striker, and a seasoned CB. With those, the opportunity to win the league is now. Without them, we can’t have injuries or suspensions.

Unfortunately, Colwill / Fofana being injured has been a killer.

As for striker…the injuries and suspensions have destroyed any chance at chemistry. While I would prefer an elite forward, I do like Delap and believe that he can be next level. Unfortunately, it sure as shite isn’t now.

Such is life.

Onto the next gaffer.

The amount of manager firings is laughable. Only sport I know where coaches get fired, hired, fired…sometimes all within the same season. It’s a cultural issue at Chelsea.
