I'm going to be so nervous watching that game. I don't want to miss out like we did in 2012. That crushed me. I remember watching Stu Holden tear it up at the olympics, waking up at 4 to watch the games because they were in China. Those games were great. Too bad Orozco had to get a red card in the fourth minute of our third group game, when we had a great chance to advance

I really enjoy Olympic soccer. I would enjoy it even more if we completely didn't bomb out and join the senior team's sucking.

The Celtic vs Barça approach is a bold strategy

The US has played in every World Cup in my sports watching life. I will be really bummed if we miss out.

But should, the US men's game is so far behind the rest of the world.

Debatable. As long as Jurgen is in charge, no one knows.

There is no point in even predicting a fricking lineup. One thing I do know - our back 4 will be different than last game

I guess we have too many other sports and other things to do.

I just wish we could make it out of our group in world tournaments and not embarrass ourselves.

Oh wait a fricking minute, we do. Croatia, Spain, Italy, England, Portugal, Russia. All so far ahead of the US, all watching the US/Belgium game from the comforts of home.

We suck right now, but get that weak shite out of here.

If we win:

Dempsey will tap in a deflection of the keeper.
Guzan will make a few good saves.
and it will be 1-0 in a very ugly game.

If we lose:

JK will say we didn't get the result we wanted.
JK will say that there are a few areas we need to address before COPA and the next WCQ's
He should but wont be fired.
Landon Donovan and Alexi Lalas will make spot on criticism of JK, but nothing will change.
Traditionally one of our top players will leave with some freak injury and ruin the rest of his season (probably a knee).

It sucks that there is basically zero chance we make the World Cup with someone that isn't Klinsmann as manager. So frustrating.

I don't wanna get in the way of all the Jurgen bashing, but I do hope he gives Nguyen and Nagbe a chance in the attacking midfield tonight. I think Bobby Wood scores tonight as well. Getting a Pulisic cameo in the 75th minute while we're up 3-0 is what I'm hoping for.
