This is far from an A u-23* team. I’ll take any win we can get.

Yep, I just hate Jackson Yueill

I don’t hate him, but he was largely invisible in the first half. Second half watch is happening now for me. I want to see why we looked like dragged arse down the stretch.

I'm sure he's a nice enough guy, but he just doesn't do anything well except diagonal balls.
He's slow, poor at 1v1 defending and lacks positional awareness.

Glad and Pineda need to leave.
If CJNG captured them would anyone pay their ransom?
But seriously, this team sucks. That was hard to watch. Maybe they will suck less than others and we’ll qualify?

He was man marked by their forward. Not a ton you can do about that. It leaves our CBs more free to distribute out of the back, but they were not good.

Our U23 C team beat Costa Rica’s A team, most of whom are in mid season form and play for the same team, and we did it south of the border. It wasn’t a super pretty win but we got the 3 points.

Seriously, what a bad take.
The altitude is the problem with yesterday if you ask me. The first half was really well played by our guys in midfield and up front, as well as Vines. We should have been up 2 or 3 goals.
The CBs were terrible all game though. That needs to be fixed quick.
The second half was really bad. It seemed like we made no adjustments at the half and CR really made us pay for it.
Having said that, we only paid in terms of being worked into the ground. It is hugely important that the guys were able to hold onto a game like that without conceding, despite how likely it was that they were going to.

Laugh if you want, arse. The manager mentioned how worried he was about fitness levels with the altitude/weather combination, combined with not having played in a while.
Maybe pay attention to shite some more? Don’t really know how to politely tell you that you’re wrong/uninformed when you sarcastically laugh while being wrong/uninformed.
Ignorance is bliss, I guess.
ETA: Hopefully the squad sees that link, pvilleguru.

Obviously fitness is a big factor, and still would’ve been had it been played at sea level. The other guys are in season form, our guys are preseason. Everyone is playing at altitude.

Most of Costa Rica's team lives and plays at a much higher altitude than our players do.
Most of our team lives in cities with elevations of <~500'. Most of Costa Rica's team lives in cities with elevations of >3,500' (with several at >7,000').

1). Open mouth.
2). Insert foot.
Stay tuned to see what he says next!
Edit: Here, I'll help you out. You're not wrong about overall fitness being a problem. That was assumed coming into this since they haven't played in nearly six months.
Jason K. Post-Match Interview
Watch the whole thing, but at 4:36 he is asked if climate/weather affected performance.
Go ahead and laugh at the man that does this for a living, too. I figure if I deserve it for being right, so does he.

Of course it had an impact, the point is climate/weather affect both teams equally, and pointing to altitude being the main reason for the performance is dumb.
The general match fitness between both squads was the issue.
This is stupid. Have a nice day.

Every time we play at Azteca the altitude is brought up and how it will affect our team and how Mexico has an advantage because of it. This isn’t some new concept.

What a stubborn arse... I wasn’t even being rude at first.
Imagine laughing at someone’s factual input but not being able to comprehend it as even feasible.
Absolute state of the lad...

Well, that just isn’t true at all. The weather and climate are happening to both teams equally, but they certainly don’t affect both teams equally.
If one team is acclimated to elevation and the other is not, elevation will be less of a factor to the better acclimated team than it will to the lesser acclimated team, even though both teams are playing at elevation.
If Team A is used to playing in hot and humid weather, while Team B is not, Team A will be at an advantage in a hot and humid game, even though hot and humid weather will be happening to both teams.
