Considering how wishy-washy our dual nationals were and the reports of "cliques" among the different duals-nationals in the Jurgen-era, it really does make me happy when I see someone like Antonee Robinson say "my country" and then seeing all the different USMNT players comment on that post.
For all the shite Gregg has done wrong, the one thing he has 100% gotten right is restore the pride in playing for the crest and not only get dual-nationals, but also getting them to buy in.

Yeah, you can tell there’s a genuine comradery with this generation of players. Hopefully, that continues for years to come and Weston can mature and get back in everyone’s good graces in that locker room.
Gregg’s tactics and management can be very frustrating at times, but he’s definitely rebuilt a good culture in the team. Even when things were going well under JK, you could still sense those players didn’t get along much, and there were lots of cliques.

I got bored and looked up some cap counts just to reiterate how young our team still is.
If Wikipedia figures are accurate, before the game Wednesday, Maynor Figueroa by himself had nearly as many caps for Honduras (173) as our entire starting XI did (191)! Our five subs had 148 combined caps coming in.
At no point during the game did we have two players with even 40 prior caps on the field at the same time! (Only Brooks and Yedlin had more than 40 before the game, but Pulisic and Acosta both have 40 caps after the game.)
Five of our starters had less than 10 caps coming in, and only three had more than 20. Reyna also still only has 9 caps!

By far my favorite moment of the Canada game was when there was some sort of flare up with a Canadian player and the three guys who immediately stepped in to protect our guy were Brooks, Robinson, and Pefok. It was fricking amazing, and all of those guys fight so hard for each other and a fricking love it. I had to hide my freedom boner.

Gregg is clearly well-liked and a decent person with a low ego. At least two of those three never applied to Klisnmann.
He would have made a excellent “good cop” assistant coach for a top tier USMNT head coach.
