What a game and a great atmosphere at the stadium. I know we just need to barely hang on against Costa Rica but it would be nice to finish above Mexico and continue the momentum into the World Cup.

I agree. I think US is going into WED looking for a win. They hate the whole “haven’t won at CR in 10 matches”.

Costa Rica apparently has 9 players on yellow and it doesn’t reset for the playoff. Will they even throw their A lineup out there and go for it Wednesday?

Does the result at Costa Rica (ignoring for sake of argument the doomsday 6 goal loss result) have any chance to impact which Pot USA gets at this point or is the CR game irrelevant there? Any chance we are battling Mex to sneak into Pot 1 or are we locked into Pot 2 at this point?
Eta - just looked at the rankings and the teams that are already qualified. Looks like zero chance for Pot 1 for any CONCACAF team. Looks like US is a lock for Pot 2 (Mexico too provided they don’t slip to the playoff qualifying game).

The US padded their goal differential advantage on Sunday like I thought they would. Costa Rica can’t score. They’re averaging .85 goals per match.
