Soto literally didn't react after scoring either goal

This team hardly celebrated any of the goals.

This is the first time the USMNT had two Sebastians score in the same match.

Team Sebastian.

This is the team we need to pummel, even in a friendly.

Wouldn’t think Soto goes elsewhere

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t look up the drinking situation in Qatar during halftime

Getting both Soto and Musah, on the heels of getting Dest (not to mention Weah or Reyna, who I never seriously expected to go elsewhere), would be an absolute coup. I expect to lose Soto because I don't want to count on him, but running the table on international dual citizens would be a complete turnaround.

The problem is that the big thing the USMNT could offer, a clear path to playing time, is beginning to evaporate. That's a good problem, though it obviously doesn't apply to Soto or Musah.

It kind of applies to Soto. Theres still Sargent, Gioacchini, and several players in MLS that he has to beat out.

I've heard Chile's striker pool is more dire than our pool is, but I don't know how true that is.

Gioachinni may be one of the most likable kids ever.

I mean, they aren't gonna hand him the job, but he has a pretty clear path. Sargent and Gioacchini have a combined 16 caps, and Sargent has just 4 goals in 13 caps. We were still trotting Zardes and Altidore out there in meaningful games last year because we're so thin at the position.

I would love to have Soto, I just don't want to count on him yet. Chile can make a strong pitch as well.

Looks like our next match may be Dec 9 vs El Salvador.
