I think in the Belgium game he was expecting the crossbar was gonna stretch for him, but the bar did about as much stretching as Wondo

He can't change how they think when the game starts. We looked scared shitless of Messi every time he touched the ball and gave him 5 yards. We booted it every time they pressured us. He can't affect that.

They were intimidated because we couldn't posses the ball at all, were down immediately, and were basically playing 9 v 11.

Nothing really to be ashamed with. I predicted 3-0 this is exactly how I thought it would go. Good tourney now let's take this momentum to Russia

devise a gameplan for it and drill that in. then create a confidence in the gameplan

Y'all are pretty harsh on your squad. US was just outclassed, really. Argentina touches the ball with an accuracy and finesse the US just cannot match right now. Even Pulisic was neutralized and he's a phenomenal player.
US had some suspensions and I don't really think a different lineup would have made much of a difference, especially if the plan was to press Argentina out the gate.

I was only talking about players called in. Jurgen's overall roster selection for the Copa was questionable at best. It is like backups are irrelevant.

Yeah all he's got is motivation at this point.
I still give him credit for motivating the worst team in the WC group into the knockout rounds, but he's not capable of brining us to any next level.

You are asking UTEP to have a game plan for the Alabama running game and having confidence from practice. When the whistle blows and the game starts, the UTEP players can't really do a whole lot of they don't have ability. I don't give a shite what the strategy is or what practice was like.

structure. discipline. strategy. it will be boring but it can neutralize a great team from 4-0'ing you

GFY. There is a lot the team should be ashamed of. It was not at all the level of play they are capable of. Not even close.

Some of it is on the players. Landon made a great point. We missed passes that we normally can make on a regular bases. If may not be UTEP vs. Bama but it was UK vs Bama on a bad day. And that is still a 45-7 beat down.

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I didn't think we were going to come in and blow Argentina off the field but to come out with a poor line-up and then play with no heart and confidence is unacceptable.
Too many turnovers, poor gameplan, no heart.
I can take the loss to a far superior team but we didn't even put up a fight.
