Twellman alluded to it early in the match - we have lost the American fighting spirit. We lost the toughness and aggressiveness.
Yeah we were never the most technical but damn it we brought a toughness to every match. That is long gone. So now we still lack technical skill AND we also completely lack toughness, physicality, and athleticism. Recipe for disaster.
ETA: not an alpha to be found on the pitch wearing a USA jersey. Sad.
