I'd like to see Wood and Morris play together up top with the type of service Benny and Da Boy are offering. I think they match up well together as a duo, other than both being short.

Wasn't a critique, just posting an odd fact.

That Dempsey goal was so awesome too.

@thomasfloyd10
Benny Feilhaber's first half: 39 of 46 passing, led the #USMNT in dribbles completed (5), duels won (6) and recoveries (5).

Jozy has always played his best with the national team when paired with a pacy center-forward. See: Charlie Davies, 2009; Bobby Wood, 2016.

Morris definitely fits that role. I just wish he would use his left foot on the rare occasion.

In the international game, pace is so effective, because defenses aren't as cohesive.

It's also hilariosu that Jurgen had a boner for Beckerman but never called in McCarty who does the same shite while not being a 57 year old burnout

It's incredibly hilariosu.

But seriously I love what he does on the field. He's an on field leader who you can see yelling at players and orchestrating things from the D mid position, which is exactly what you hope to see from a player there.

I hated the praise Beckerman received during the World Cup.

Great, he completed some horizontal passes to his fullbacks and hacked down attackers when needed. His lack of pace and vision forced us into a very reactionary formation, especially after Jozy went down. It forced Bradley and Jones to run far more than they should have.

Coquelin is a good example of a defensive midfielder who can compensate fpr his average passing range with superior athletic ability. Beckerman is not.
