So to recap GGGs choice for this game - the best XI with this squad basically picked itself yet he had Steffen and Nipples in his starting lineup. Steffen fricks up one minute in and Weah scores the winner. Good work Gregg

Pretty harsh to blame that goal on Steffen when Dest chilling out of bounds allowed for a striker to just stand right in front of Steffen's line of sight.

i thought he was really good. i also thought mckennie was really good and no one seems to agree there. and i thought pepi was completely worthless (not upset with it, he was bound to cool off and when he doesnt score, he's gonna look like he did tonight. plus he's 18).

McKennie had a tough night, but only on a personal level really. When he fricked up, he busted his arse hard to make up for it.
Disagree with Pepi. Excellent hold up play to keep possession most times, great when he fell back to help defend, has a pretty decent press, just struggled to find the net. Costa Rica bracketed him all night. It would have been hard for much anyone to score the way they squeezed him.

Yep.. Robinson was poor against the Costa Rica alumni team. In his defense this is the first bad game he has played in the US shirt this year.
