In these types of games, we need to be pragmatic. We're going into hostile, third-world countries with poor field conditions. Don't play players out of position. No strange tactics. Be solid, be resilient, get a result, and go home.

Gulati is all in on JK's plan. I agree with it too. Broaden the talent pool and start taking youth development seriously. The problem is that ultimately you play to win games at the senior level...not to tinker with shite every match. At some point you have to have results.
Winning at the senior level takes the pressure off of youth players. You win and you aren't sitting there hoping guys like Mix, Bacon, Yedlin, and Green can be the saviors. All he's doing right now is ramping up the pressure on younger guys.
He's like the Kirk Ferentz of international soccer.
