Going back to actual soccer discussion, do we drop Musah for LDLT, Reyna, or Aaronson in our starting lineup? The latter three are much stronger in the final third and that’s where we struggle.

Would be tough to bench Musah

Morris for Musah:)

Yep, I’ll concede I was wrong. I can admit that. Kudos to Broski.

Musah does so well controlling the midfield that he’s in my first XI

I feel like LDLT, while less physical, offers the same control but actually is productive in the final 3rd. Same argument could be made for Gio. I don’t think Musah has scored or assisted a goal for us.

Yea if either one are playing for us in Qatar I’ll have the sads.

That said EPB’s club situation is stable and assuming he’s healthy he figures to be playing regularly in ligue 1 in the run up to Qatar. Mckenzie will have more of fight for minutes this fall I think.

I think the Musah/LDLT argument largely depends on the opponent, if it's a match where the opposing team is a stronger side, I'm starting Musah because of his defensive work rate and the dude is already elite at dribbling out of tight spaces.

If it's a match where we think we'll have the majority of the possession on the attack, then LDLT would be the better fit because his final ball is so much better.

My ideal XI though:

Keeper
Dest-Zimmerman-Richards-Robinson
Adams-Musah double pivot (really liked what I saw against Morocco)
McKennie
Reyna-Weah-Pulisic

Aaronson as the first sub off the bench if we need a goal, either in the midfield for Musah and we revert back to the single pivot, or on one of the wings.
