It's an understandable mistake for people to make. I actually just read the article you posted, and you have to acknowledge that it's completely understandable that people would say the Ukraine.

I'm not so dense to be unaware of your insult. I'm more concerned with your lack of awareness about a geopolitical crisis.
I'm not Ukrainian, nor Ukrainian-American. I just happened to live there for a year.
ETA: I also understand that it's a common slip of the tongue. Hell our President used "the Ukraine" yesterday. I'm sure his advisors corrected him like I corrected you.

There is absolutely no reason to not play Fab at LB and Bacon at LW. Fab is much better than Castillo, and it allows Bacon onto the field who is our most in form attacker

I'll explain in very simple terms:
1. Russia and the Soviet Union controlled Ukraine.
2. Russia and the USSR killed off Ukrainians (see: Holodomor), thinking of them as not a real nationality.
3. Russia and the USSR perpetuated the use of an article in front of Ukraine in order to make it into a region of Russia, and not a national identity.
4. Russia invaded a sovereign state this week under bullshite "cautionary" pretenses.
I will stop arguing about geopolitical issues....
