Kinda happened at Marseille too. I think he knew he had to make subtle changes to the intensity in training with the championship schedule. Think they’re doing a little less scrimmaging.

No they switched it to where a country can have a max of 5 teams in UCL now

I believe

Can't wait for Spurs to finish 4th United to win the Champs League, Chelsea to win Europa and bump Spurs from the CL again.

I would love to see what Bielsa would do at a mega club. I imagine he'd have a roster of 33 kids who would do nothing but run their dicks off.

Pontus Jansson did an interview with a swedish newspaper saying they run like hell during the week but they aren’t doing as much 11v11 as they were back in the fall. Never thought I’d see Jack Clarke and Leif Davis be such key pieces this season. My body is so ready for automatic relegation.

I always worry about player's hamstrings with teams that like to run. I'm sure rest and recovery has gotten much better too. We might see the net effect of Bielsa next season to be fair.

It would only happen if Arsenal finished 3rd.

I'd still laugh if it happened to Arsenal, to be fair.

It would take a perfect game from United to get there, but how epic would that Semifinal against Liverpool be?

Tottenham gonna get screwed out of the UCL next season. I believe they will finish 4 and either arsenal or Chelsea win Europa

According to what someone posted earlier there is a scenario that it's possible.

As I understand it, this is how the 4th place team is knocked out of the UCL spot.

Every country has a max of 5 teams to be entered into the UCL. The only way for a 4th place team to get bumped now is if both the Champions League and Europa league winners are out of the top 4. So if we want the 4th place team to get bumped into the Europa league this is how the league has to finish and who would win what. Let's use ManU as the sacrificial lamb for fun as the 4th placed team to get bumped. Bold teams earn spots into the Champions league.

1. Liverpool
2. Tottenham
3. Arsenal

4. Man United
5. Man City (Champions League winner)
6. Chelsea (Europa League winner)

ManU earns the 4th spot reserved for Champions League, however Man City and Chelsea automatically earn spots by winning the European trophies, taking 2 out of the 5 spots for the UCL. There are only 3 spots left out of the 5 maximum. So the highest three teams earn the remaining spots (Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham). Man U is left out of the 5 maximum and thus relegated to the Europa League after witnessing Liverpool win the league and Man City win the Champions League. Probably the worst nightmare for them, though luckily for them highly unlikely to happen.

Ronaldo has been charged with 'improper conduct' and could miss Juve's Champions League quarter-final tie with Ajax

After scoring his second goal of the night, Ronaldo turned to the crowd and imitated the celebration Diego Simeone used from the first leg.

I doubt he gets a ban though..

I would guess he's just going to be fined. It would look bad if they suspended Ronaldo but Simeone was only fined 20k
