Messi will never be the prolific goal threat Sylvan Ebanks-Blake was.

Hopefully Arsenal and Villarreal get into the semis. Would love to see Santi one more time at the Emirates.

They might be beatable, but they've only been beaten four times this season, and their last league loss was in November, with their last loss in any comp. being in January. It all depends on how Man U tries to prevent Messi from getting the ball.

and how MU plays (aggressively or conservatively). Remember, this Barcelona knows how to counter.

They might come out to play, but I feel an open game favors Barcelona.

we have the pace and size to give Barca fits

I think Pogba is going to have a ton of time on the ball

Herrera man mark a la mourinho?

Doubt OGS goes that route but I’ll be curious to see how we set up to deal with him.

I don't know. He might, depending on how he's employed, but Arthur and Busquets have been playing super well lately. Arthur is like Xavi reincarnated.

Barca have had almost no real competition this season. I think they are a bit overrated.

That doesn’t mean they are not a very good side though.

They might be. Their midfield is better than last year. Arthur is a really fantastic player. They are also better in defense this season. It's just a hard team to bet against.

Herrera has been probably waiting for another shot at Barca for years.

You know he is going to be up for it.

He ran that Athletic side into the ground that year. In the cup final he had his players individually man-mark each Barca player, the fricking madman.

I was quasi-buying in to the burnout talk (our injury list has been ridiculous all season Kemar Roofe TYFYS) but then we absolutely raped West Brom and Reading. Tomorrow is gonna be LIT

I think we need to pump a lot of crosses into the box and make sure we get Pogba in there with Luk and Rashford. Beat them in the air.

It was true the season after 2012. That 2012 Athletic team was fun as hell to watch.

Well yeah. That Barca team was one of the best all-time.

I think Barca will come out in the 4-3-3, but with the way Messi plays, it becomes a 4-3-1-2, with the wide player tucking inside and taking positions like a striker. Suarez is hard-working and creates an amazing amount of chances just through grift alone.

The problem for Man U is how do they set-up. Barca isn't super good at defending the counter, but they also seem to give up chances in open play too. If Man U is intent on the 4-4-2 to give them a 2 v 2 situation upfront, Barca could effectively control the game in midfield. They could go three at the back, and focus on the wings, but the danger is that the left-back would effectively be pinned back by Messi.

It is an interesting tactical battle, and I'll be interested to see how good this Barca team is.
