So the media is making the rounds on reporting/displaying Szc's tosser action. I wonder when Robben spitting on Baccy gets that attention?

Ugh seeing the replays of that 2nd goal. Koscielny making that wild run forward and not being able to get back in time, but worse was Flamini not defending anyone.

Kosc was fine. He had cover. Flamini didn't see his man or track him, and Pizzaro made a brilliant run to drag Mertesacker away.

It was textbook.

I didn't blame him on the getting back bit, at that point it was near impossible, and he had players behind to cover. I might question the idea of making that run though. Flamini just bungled it plain and simple.

The red card on SzCzesny was the right call, but it would've been really fun to see play out at 11 v 11. In two weeks that's going to be forgotten and only bayerns domination will be talked about. Completely disregarding that until the red card, and Gibbs injury, Arsenal had been equal to if not better than Bayern

Tommy is a class act. Could have been a great match, the result is the result.

Sorry but I don't see how someone can think that isn't a red. I know keepers may feel the rule is harsh, and it is, but that's the way the it needs to be to prevent keepers from interfering with clear goal-scoring opportunities on a regular basis.

yellow and a PK would take care of your concern.

i find the anti-red + PK argument persuasive when it comes to the "denial of a goal scoring opportunity" rule since you've conceded a PK and thus not conceded a goal scoring opportunity.

szcz's could have been red regardless based on the nature of his challenge.

Neuer´s comments are part of German post war restoration efforts.

My point was that a yellow and a pk isn't enough because the punishment isn't harsh enough to prevent keepers from doing that regularly.

The situation doesn't occur frequently enough for the keeper to hesitate before bringing a player down. It would turn into the new "take the yellow to prevent a counter."

More like Neuer knows he's going to do some shite like that soon and wants some good karma.
