Skipp with the halftime brace and our B team leads 2-1 over Barcelona's A team, dominating possession.

Ange ball is such a welcome relief from these past few seasons.

I was cautiously optimistic before this match, I’m still cautiously optimistic but much closer to thinking we can actually compete for a Europe spot. Maybe not top 4 but definitely 5th or 6th.

That first half was amazing. Seeing us play out of the back while under pressure was fun to watch.

The good, I felt we could score every time we got into the final 3rd.
The bad, I felt like they could score every time they got into the final 3rd.

Well…looks like that day is today

Tottenham, Bayern agree €100m+ deal for Kane

quote:

Tottenham have accepted an offer in excess of €100 million ($110m) from Bayern Munich for striker Harry Kane, sources have told ESPN. The 30-year-old will now decide whether to leave Spurs or see out the final year of his contract in north London.

quote:

Kane wanted his future resolved by the start of the Premier League season -- Spurs face Brentford in their opening match on Sunday -- and must now determine whether his future lies in England or Germany.

I had a feeling it was getting closer to being done since there being no leaks/news about it since Sunday.

Let’s just hope Spurs don’t panic spend the cash and buy a Vlad Chiriches regen.

Looks like Alastair Gold is on vacation today… so yeah, Kane is definitely gone.

Incredibly disappointing to have him this long and win absolutely nothing, but such is Spurs, though jumping on the fastest horse in a one-horse league isn't exactly what most people have in mind when they talk about winning trophies.

I mean, that’s the key, isn’t it? We’ve had a number of late-hour transfers of great players that brought in gobs of cash only for it to be spent in haste on players that didn’t pan out. THIS is what pisses me off so much about Levy. He dicks around until the last minute and gets a massive payday but puts the manager and club in a really shitty position.

Classic levy this should have been done for spurs in June/July. What a nightmare for the manager, has to figure out how to compensate for 30 goals and the season starts in less than a week.

This one is more on Bayern than Levy.
Levy gave them a number and Bayern thought they could low-ball it, but Levy stayed firm.

While you can’t replace Kane, Spurs did invest €60mil into a forward last season and also have a golden boot winner in the squad. Kane leaving doesn’t leave as big of a hole as one would think (It’s still a very big downgrade regardless). I actually think putting the money into the defense would be a wiser choice.
I guess we’ll see.

This whole thing seems to have turned into a big cluster. I don’t think anyone knows what is going on.

Apparently Charlie Kane is the reason for the holdup, which is absolutely hilarious being that he’s the one who bungled Harry’s move to City a few years ago.

Not so fast...

"Harry Kane's move to Bayern Munich is in limbo after Daniel Levy tried to change the terms of the £84.5million transfer at the 11th hour, talkSPORT understands.

Conflicting reports suggested that Kane had been told not to fly to Germany this morning, but talkSPORT understands that he will be allowed to travel to Germany."
