Putting aside how much I hate levy, and the way he handles transfer windows, he’s the actual WOAT, I’m relieved to see Kane going to Bayern. I don’t care about the money he’s sold for, I have little faith the board invests it wisely, I’m just happy I won’t have to watch him play for another premier league club, and I can continue to appreciate him as a player.

While Kane really is irreplaceable I think others step up, and fill the gap by committee. I’d be a lot more worried starting the season without Kane with someone like Mourinho, or Conte, in charge tbh. I think Ange ball has shown in preseason that it will create a lot of chances per game. However, , I am still terrified about the defense.

Even with world-class defenders I would still be worried about the defense. Ange is all gas and no brakes.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Brentford puts Spurs to the sword a few times this weekend. Thomas Frank is a really good manager and his team is well drilled. They aren’t an ideal first opponent for a new system.

Side note: I just realized that I have to worry about scoring penalties again. Kane was damn near automatic.

Yeah that dawned on me just this morning too.

I can’t even remember who took them when Kane wasn’t on the field

I agree on not having to watch Kane put on another EPL kit. I had gotten to a point where I would have preferred Kane to stay this year and leave on a free, but if he thinks the move to Bayern is best for his career and family then I wish him all the best. A lot has been said about Bundesliga titles not meaning anything at this point, but I don’t think Kane is going there for the sole purpose of league titles. I think he is going to try and win the ultimate prize being a UCL title. He will have a legit chance of doing that every year at Bayern which is something we are a ways away from at the moment.

Time to get behind Ange and start the rebuild. Who better to lead that rebuild than Levy…FML ??

This is my biggest worry with Ange ball. Everything I’ve read/heard makes it seem like he’s always foot down on the gas no matter what the game might call for. Which is fine when you’re at a club like Celtic, and you have the the most talented team in the league, but how does that play out when your squad on paper is probably 5-7th best in the league? I worry it could end up being like Leeds under Bielsa, but with a bit more talent. I do hope he’s a bit more tactically flexible in game when it’s called for. We shall see. I’m expecting a lot of heart attack games this season.

First XI of the season:

Looks like Dier may be gone being that he’s not even in the squad.

Micky getting the start, we gonna get punched a couple of times today. I sure hope we can get a couple of early goals.

I think we will see Perisic and Lo Celso as subs. Not sure about the 3rd one though.

You're right about Dier, not even in the squad when several that are rumored to be going are.

BCK, your boy Davies keep hanging on!!!

No Reguilon or Ndombele either

I could barely sleep last night due to nerves

I’m surprised about Reggie not at least being in the squad, not so much for Ndombele.

I’m more nervous than I can remember being for any opener before. I want Ange to be successful because I really like him.

Same. I'm just excited for the prospect of progressive soccer.

Thinking a 3-3 draw here.

Bentancur seems like he would be a great fit in this new Spurs side.

Not a bad result for away at Brentford. I think we were the better team and hopefully we bring in a striker.

New skipper, new system, no Kane, will take some time but once they figure it all out I think they’ll be dangerous.

Good, not great.

I just want to see growth this year more than anything. On to next week with Man United at home, should be a good test.

Pleased with what we saw. Wish Lo Celso could have gotten some run.

Vicario will make every game interesting

C’mon Ben. Close this one out.

ETA: Ben got a touch and it was heading towards goal. I don’t care what anyone else says.
