I'm just glad Spurs didn't win for the simple fact we would have to listen to Steve Nash cry like a baby and be a dumbass homer had they won.

Did he crowbar Messi into everything, like always.

"Nice win for Liverpool, shame Messi isn't here"

Just a minute, Steve Nash the basketball player is a soccer analyst? That's as weird as Brad Daugherty being one of the lead NASCAR analysts for ESPN.

Congrats to Liverpool but they hardly produced anything of note to warrant a victory in this game.

What i thought, till i was told how involved Brad was in auto racing. Day he retired, he was buying into a race car ownership.

My thoughts on the game:

We controlled the game for the most part and did nothing in the final 3rd.

Alli has been average at best all season. Not sure if heis position or just slumping, but he has offered very little attacking or defending.

Salah and Kane were silent all game...very disappointing.

Mane was the best threat from Liverpool.

Congrats to the Reds...they took advantage of their opportunities, but I don't think they were the better team today.

Except drawing a pen and scoring in the 85’, as well as our keeper making 8 saves.

It’s ok though... I get it. I’d hate watching another PL side win the UCL.

Man you sound super salty, this is like the B/R announcers who went on and on about Porto outplaying Liverpool in the quarters even though the final was 6-1 on aggregate

Oh and if Liverpool did nothing to warrant a win, what do you call the display by Spurs?

I mean they shouldn't care but that was the worst game I saw Liverpool play all season from an attacking standpoint. VVD was beast as always though and Spurs are queers.

All that matters is Liverpool won

Winning cups finals is about just winning it

Who cares how

Do you think Liverpool was the best team on the field today? Not the most talented, but did they perform the best team on the field tofay?

Props to Pool for winning the final, but I thought the handball call in the first 30 seconds changed everything including Liverpools style of football. That handball doesn't get called in a single EPL match. I don't mind losing the match, but that one call changed the flow of the entire game and I don't think it should have. Mane purposely tried to hit his arm and that play was not a threat at all. I understand that Sissoko's arm was up communicating, but are we really asking defenders to play with their hands at their side while guys like Mane and Salah run at them full speed. Terrible call based on the spirit of soccer imo...I don't care what the handbook says.

There is a giant gulf between these two scenarios.

Sure when you break them apart with quotes without talking about them in the actual play. His arm was up to start the entire sequence. He didn't move it up to block the cross. The game is happening so fast...that wasn't an intentional handball imo and shouldn't have been awarded much less 30 seconds into a UCL final

Didn’t even read the rest after this. To answer the questions, yes. That’s why they lifted the trophy.

Da frick is this “spirit of soccer” nonsense? The ref is supposed to ignore an infraction bc you like spurs and wanted to see them have a better shot at winning?

This is what’s wrong with the “spirit of America”

Doesn't matter. It's still an unnatural position.

At what point in the game do you think the rules should start to apply?

Lol ok Captain America.

I don't think it was an infraction. His arm was up communicating with another player and the ball was played into his chest\arm. He didn't intentionally attempt to block the cross no matter where his arm was located.

Fair enough...I disagree. I don't think Liverpool was the best team on the field today...just like I don't think they were 3 goals worse than Barca in the first semi final leg. Doesn't mean they don't deserve to be champions, but I don't think they were anywhere near their best.
