Jesus frick is this thread still going?
It's only 5 pages...and the replay just finished. People like me that worked all day finally got to see what happened.
Was it questionable? Yes. I don't think anyone can truly make a claim that a red shouldn't have at least been an option for the ref. Did he make the right call? Don't know. But it's his opinion that matters...no one else. Not SAF. Not the fan that paid £100 for a ticket...just the Turkish ref. I've seen worse let go as only a yellow. I've seen less go for a red. I just enjoyed seeing Sir Alex run down from his perch, arms flapping at his side, screaming like a fat kid that just missed the ice cream truck.

I'll tell you what wasn't a disgrace

I finally saw the play, I did not see that as a red myself. Sucks today to be Man U, but those tears can be held with their 2012-2013 trophy.

Modric
But that was a sweet bank shot. Did he call "post"?

It's gonna suck for you watching Bale and Modric playing for Real next season.

I may hate you more now than when Bayern blew it against Chelsea.
But if Bale leaves, I at least hope it isn't the ridiculous circus that it was for Modric. It's not the fact that Modric left that bugs me (it's a reality of the sport), it's how he left.

i love how people who never post on the SB come over here acting like some kinda of expert.
I drank myself until i passed out last night on the couch and just woke up at 10 am

Not a United fan by any stretch.
Not a red. Nani was not "lunging" at the RM player because he was not even aware he was there. He was just trying to settle the ball and had his eyes on it the whole time.
Yellow was the correct penalty and the ref fricked up. Ruined the match.

True, yet he also made my day.

1 call out of 134475366:45; at old trafford doesn't go their way.
United fans griping about officiating is the ultimate irony. Hypocrite vaginas.

I only see 2 united fans in here so this "point" is useless.

So, in order to be an expert, one must post on the SB often?

Or they need to play at least 2 hours of FIFA daily.

This sort of thinking just infuriates me. Why can't each call be judged on its own merits? I know, novel concept right. Look most Man U fans I have read just wanted the match to finish 11v11 and wanted a chance. As both a Man U fan and Real fan I just wanted to see the these two giants go the last 30 or so mins and see what happened. After suffering through the first half, I was excited to see what followed the goal that was so sorely needed to open things up. The match was just getting good and the ref ruins it for everyone. But you go ahead and keep hating on Man U if that makes you feel better. As the saying goes players win games, coaches lose them and refs ruin them.

Like I said in the other thread, if the information in someone's post is true it shouldn't matter one bit who they root for or what their "e-cred" is.
Unless we're posting Belowpar-esque rumors of course.. but nobody here is an insider for a major club so that's out.
