Agreed. Very few of the traditional starters should be safe heading into transfer windows. I hope levy will offload as much as possible.

I pretty much agree with all of that assuming the recent article I saw online is full of shite regarding Pochettino withdrawing from the players, and watching parts of practice through cctv footage and not out there with them on the practice field. It sounds like bullshite, but if that’s true he probably has to go.

I’ve been watching all of Ajax games this season, and I would love for Tottenham to go after Ziyech. I’ve been really impressed with him. I also wouldn’t mind them going after dest. I think right now at 18 dest has so much more technical ability on the ball than any of our wingbacks. The only downside to him is that he’d be asked to defend a lot more with Tottenham than he has to with Ajax, and that’s part of his game he really needs to improve, but I’m not sure how much worse he is at defending right now than what we currently put out there. I think Dest and Ziyech are the types of players financially Levy might spend on.

Forced position change due to injuries (read as: "playing a deeper role") and setting an incredibly high standard for himself early on.

For better or for worse, I do personally think he's lost a bit of that countish-ness that made him special.

Those injuries are killing him. He hasn’t played consistently at all to be able to get in rhythm. He’s only 23 he’ll figure it out if he can stay healthy.

It’s gotta be a confidence killer to go from a starter for the NT to not even being called up.
