Why is the line drawn from the end of the sleeve? If he plays the ball with that part of his body, it’s handball.

Question that has been brought up before and is now making the rounds on Twitter and I’m curious what you boys think. Should we buy a RB and move TAA to MF? Idk myself but go...

Yes, but as a backup for TAA... I dont really rate Neco.. I dont think Trent is nearly as bad defensively as many make him out to be.. What he can do offensively, is just too good IMO. I think with better CBs playing beside himnext season, he'll be back to his best, where he can push up more...

I don’t think you take one of the best RB in the world, going forward, and change positions unless you plan to change the way you play/your system.

I’d leave him there and plan for better RCBs.

If you have to start drawing fricking lines like a damn child the call on the field should stand.

Great intensity, great chances, no end product.

Can’t wait too long to get Jota on the pitch but I don’t know who makes way. Need milly in for defensive cover. Mane has been active and Firmino needs to be in keep the press on their midfield. Gini hasn’t been bad this half but we have to get the ball in the net. Jota is the only guy in red at Anfield tonight that has no qualms about hitting a ball as hard as he can at goal with an inch of daylight. We don’t have time to walk it in

I’d trade Mo and Sadio for M’bappe straight up.

Or in a more realistic situation go get a 6’4” striker. Our offense in the final third is either try to walk it in or whip in a hopeful cross to a 5’9” winger. Giroud would bang in 20 goals a year here

Lately it’s been score from distance or not at all, honestly. I think it is time for a system change/adjustment. That will require big personnel moves.

Klopp’s system has been found out. Hopefully we can get things fixed this off-season.

Also, it seems to me that the focus is on the PL. That’s the vibe I got from the lineup. I feel like it should have been common sense to play Bobby/Manè/Jota/Salah in front of Thiago and Fabs. That’s practically the only time we have scored at all in months.

I love when people say this.

As if having a lower table defense, including not having the best CB in the world, has no effect on how we are able to play and attack.

No it hasn't

the issue is Klopp's system eventually runs players into the ground

can't play balls to the wall all the time, no matter how exciting it is.

A high press isn’t unique to Klopp. Gomez and Matip could get hurt walking up stairs, VVD suffered a contact injury, and the guys that are doing all of the sprinting in the press- the midfielders, forwards, and fullbacks, have been remarkably healthy under Klopp. A Real Madrid side with world class players were harassed all over the pitch into mistakes last night.

I get it’s fun to point and laugh at Liverpool, but few clubs in Europe would even be where we are now if they were relying on 5th and 6th choice centerbacks and had started 19 different CB partnerships over the course of a season. We’ve had historically bad injury luck and the season slipped away. It’s easy to forget we were top of the table until the injuries started snowballing at one position. We’ll go again next august with a few fresh faces and the best defender on the planet back in the middle of the defense. Get the laughs in while you can

I totally agree.. but its not just VVD... the other CBs being out, Fabinho playing in defense and injured for a long stretch... Thiago with no preseason and out injured for a long stretch... Hendo out for a long stretch... TAA recovering from Covid..

Sadio and Bobby are in a poor run of form, but I dont think they are all of the sudden bad players...

It just is what it is...

That said, I do believe we need a tweak to the attack... a true #9...

I hate to say it, because I really think he's a very good player, but Naby's time may be up here... I think he needs a fresh start somewhere else..
