No Trent, no VVD, no Gomez, no Thiago, no Ox, no Henderson, no Shaqiri, no Mo. No problem.

Wolves must’ve needed a defender really bad to give up Jota. Incredible player in our system. Plays very similar to Mo, love it.

How nice is it to be able to rest Mo or Mane and not miss a beat up front!

Also, Klopp went OFF in the post game presser. Rightfully so.
quote:

"It was never about us when I talked about it, it was about all the players. If you don't start talking to BT [Sport] we are all done," Klopp told Sky Sports. "Sky and BT have to talk because if we keep playing on Wednesday and Saturday [at] 12:30, I'm not sure if we will finish the season with 11 players.”

The only negative to come from yesterday was Keita's injury... He cant catch a break.

He was great yesterday and this should be his chance to get a good run of games! Seems like this is groundhogs day with him..

One of the best things about Jota, so far... He's delivered playing on the left, through the middle and now on the right...

Jotas positioning is the best of the top 4 options up front for me. He is just a Fox in the box. Doesn’t have the athletic prowess of a Mane or Salah but he just gets in the right spot and is a pretty clinical finisher. Great job by our staff identifying his strengths and how he would fit into our side. He was a good player at Wolves but his goal scoring record didn’t indicate he would be this good

To watch Liverpool move the ball around vs the other teams is something to behold.

That was a tough one to drop points, even though we didnt play well...

VAR'ed three times..

Mane offside is clear, but god I hate the one against Salah... I just dont trust those assholes drawing the lines in the booth... I just dont see clear and obvious and no one will convince me otherwise..

Neco's penalty was stupid... I get he's young, so I'll give him a break... However, I just dont see anything special about his play that would lead me to believe he'll be anything more than mid to lower tier, serviceable, right back..

Robbo's penalty is just unfortunate... You actually see much more impactful contact in the box... but oh well, I get why he called it...

I'll add I have been impressed with Phillips, because I didnt expect much... Ultimately, I think he's below the standard we need, but he is solid... and a beast in the air...

Not sure how anyone can say we get the benefit of VAR. I have never seen a team get more fricked by that technology than liverpool. Its a weekly occurrence.

They draw the line at the defenders right foot which is apparently past his left shoulder? That is some serious optical illusion.

He needs to go on loan. Bright talent, but not ready to fill in.

Its definitely a penalty, although I'm not sure its "clear and obvious." If that's Mo going down 5 second after contact, he's a diver. But since its Welbeck, and he's English, its just fair play.

I'm not sure he's below the standard of a fourth choice CB. Monster in the air. Decent defending on the turf, albeit goes to ground too often. I'd be fine with keeping him for rotation.

Watching the playback. That penalty was literally the most absurd decision I’ve ever seen.

So Klopp answered my question. Thiago is not going to play again 2020. Jesus that Everton match was a fricking shite show.

Would have been more okay if they decided the exact same on similar plays yesterday. Hell, they gave adama traore a yellow for getting kicked in the box. A completely opposite outcome, similar play

This is the issue with VAR. If "the rules are the rules" argument is valid then these decisions in slow motion need to be consistent. If the "flow of the match" argument is valid you ride with the on field decision and only intervene for clear and obvious or goal deciding/red card player safety decisions. The real issue is that the PL Officials are damn near incompetent or just corrupt.

Allison out. Is there a more injury-prone keeper in the history of mankind?
