Ragnar Klavan off to Italy to sign for Cagliari. £2mm... seems odd given our injuries there..

I read that... I don’t have the same faith...

I would totally agree if Matip and Lovren were 100% to start the season

That's the only way this is even a possibility.

We moved Gomez to CB, so we added one to our depth there already. Even with all of our injury issues last year, only once did we have to go past Klavan on the depth chart. With Gomez into the order, that would move Klavan back 1 in the order which would mean, even with all the potential injury issues being the same, Klavan getting 1 game this year.

I don't have too much of a problem with it. I also wonder, given Klavan's injury status for a lot of last year, if Klavan just isn't as physically up for it as he used to be. Moving to a slower league might benefit him.

I'm furious. How can you sell someone that's named "Ragnar"? The name is worth its weight in gold.

Matip is supposed to be back this week I believe. Lovren seems like maybe another 2-3 weeks away? Phillips certainly will still be an emergency fill in and not really expected to be counted on.

Depending on everyone’s fitness this year will probably determine whether we go for another CB next window/summer

Anyone going to Finn's Monday? I’ll be there for 1, I’m pumped for this season. I’ve worked my arse off forever but aim going to get there when I can this year.

I hate Monday matches and I got meeting I cant get out of

On a side note, I wish we had Arsenal and Chelsea early on, before they possibly sort out their defense.. I think we'd carve them both open...

Grujic signing an extension and heading to Hertha Berlin on loan

This could be a big move for him to push for a starting position at a decent side in a strong league. Hope he takes advantage of it because he does have loads of potential

It is definitely time for him to start delivering on that week in and out... glad he's committed long term..

Honestly I think the biggest thing will be his development on the defensive side and being more discipline

He’s got a lot to offer with his passing and he’s got a good shot on him too, but he’s not always the most disciplined player in sticking his foot in on tackles or just his general understanding of that side of the game

His tackling can be late and garbage at times. I don't know if his timing is off or that he's so large that it takes longer for his leg to hit the spot that he's anticipating. He's not slow, but it may be that foot quickness is not slower due to his size.

Improve that and I think he's definitely good enough for the squad.
