another fullback and another quality forward... injuries seem to keep Firmino on the sideline a little too often for my liking, so having another guy that can create and get behind the defense would be ideal...

first, i think we need to confirm or deny there's tension between Mo and Jurgen. i don't wanna believe the rumors, but mo doesn't seem to embrace the gaffer like the other guys, and he has seemed more serious and cynical lately. i know the spaniards and eye talians like to spread rumors, but mo is being a bit cryptic as well. anybody got some insight?

I haven’t seen anything regarding Mo with any substance. I mean sure we can speculate but I wouldn’t even know where to speculate on the tensions.

Now I'm no mathematician, but according to This Website Firmino has missed 15 total games in all competitions in his career at Liverpool while appearing in 192.
He's missed a total of 1,350 minutes to injury since the 15/16 season, while contributing a total 16,321 minutes. That's over 4000 minutes per season...
I'd argue he's easily been the most consistently healthy player we've had over that time span. But I do agree it would be nice to rest him more as he ages, fewer minutes for all of our starters would do everyone a favor.

I think you are right about Werner but can still hope. I haven’t seen anything of note that says anything other than Mo is really happy at LFC. Klopp really had his back this year when he was getting hammered for “diving” and during his goalless stretch.

I really don't think we should re-sign Origi unless he's happy being no better than the #3 striker and being on low wages. I think everyone would be better off if we gave him a nice parting gift, thank him like we did Sturridge and Moreno, and part ways.

Sidebar: I vote that our next season-long thread be named only "Champions of Europe". No dates or anything. Or something similar. I mainly just want the Mancs to have to acknowledge that this group of words is associated with Liverpool without them reading it.

Well do you think he would be happy as the #3 guy? I think we clearly need someone better than him. Get a solid #2/borderline #1, and try to find a young guy to battle Brewster for the #3.

I wasn’t avoiding you btw, pville. I have been addressing some health issues.
I think Divock probably would be willing to fight for a position for a season, dependent upon who we brought in. I don’t see us replacing Bobby, so I feel as though we will be looking more at depth signings.
I’d also be open to keeping Origi as depth to spell Manè and Salah on the wings. He played well on the left multiple times this season.
