No.

I mean, I’m for it. He has to find a new number though. Manè has the 10 now.

Instead of a Coutinho type that we are dying for why not go save the Little Magician and bring him back home?
I think Philippe realizes he screwed up. He just doesn’t seem happy in Barca and hasn’t. The fans don’t accept him, and to put the icing on the cake we knocked them out of the CL and have been to back to back finals. And from what I heard it was more his wife, and not him who wanted to leave in the first place.
I’m not sure how I’d feel about him coming back, honestly. Fabinho is a must play along with Ali, Virg, sadio and mo at this point, so that would leave Phil, aoc, baby k, Gini, and Hendo all duking it out for two spots. I just don’t think you can bring him back and maintain team cohesion without some resentment setting in.
That said, I wildly speculate with no proof whatsoever is that Lionel Messi wants to leave Barca and prove himself in the premier league. I think he wants to play for klopp and be part of a great team where he doesn’t have to be the superstar. Though I highly doubt it happens, I’d be the first one to buy a Messi Liverpool jersey.

Unless he was at a huge cut rate price, there are better options out there that strengthen the team IMO.
Not a fan of bringing him back. He’s too hot and cold, we can do better and would be better off splashing that kind of money in De Ligt.

Just curious what you guys thought.

I feel like the team cohesion would be there but the fans would need time to warm up to him again.

I personally think the future of our MF is Ox, Keita, Fab. With the old reliable 3 as back ups. Not bad IMO. I’ll still take Brandt though.

I can’t imagine GINI staying as a bench player. Love watching him play. Disappears every once in a while, but is just a hard nosed worker.

he disappears occasionally, but it could be a lack of rest since he played so much this year. he is prone to the odd heavy touch(which pretty much everyone is), but man he wins back so many balls and is so deadly when he does take a shot. if he shoots, it's going to the back of the net.

Fab snubbed over casemiro and Fernandinho fit Copa America! B.S. he’s been the best of all three since January.
On the bright side, alisson and Bobby are starting over ederson and Jesus.

Saw an interesting stat today...
Apparently Origi clocked the fastest top-end speed sprint in a game this year for us. Faster than both Salah and Mane.
And here we all were knocking his pace as he came into the squad late in the season.

Gonna have to give me a link before I believe it, dude.
Besides, I thought VVD had clocked the top-end speed anyway, not Salah or Mane?

I'll search the link. Gimme a bit.
ETA: Seems we have been wrong for a minimum of 4 years!
From 2015
Matchday 1 of 2016
9 Hrs Ago... 8th fastest player in PL Football
ETA Again: First link has a stupid headline, but a table if you scroll down that shows the fastest times that season.

Willingness to run has been my critique of him.

For sure, mine too, but I think other posters including myself referenced a lack of pace when that is purely untrue.

Been awfully quiet in here... 8 days to go

The clinch is real.
We realize we are on the cusp, but there is always that thought of “Classic Liverpool” lurking in the back of our heads.

I'm nervous as hell and we are a week away. I just can't fathom this year resulting in 2nd place in the PL with 97 and a 2nd in the CL.
